The goal of the Missions and Outreach Ministry is to provide an ongoing holistic, spiritually edifying ministry centered on developing and reviewing church programs related to foreign and domestic missions and evangelism. This ministry also coordinates the integration of new comers through oversight of the New Member’s Ministry. Please visit the gallery for photos of our most recent missions and outreach events.
Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He made His disciples stewards of the “Gospel” or the “Good News” of Jesus Christ through the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). The Gospel is the most needed thing in our lives. It should be given its place with respect to health, wealth fame and fortune, for it brings salvation to the believing soul. The apostle Paul said: “woe is unto me if I preach not the gospel.” The church is to go into all the world, opening the eyes of those who are blind to the Word of the Lord, bringing life and light to the lost, healing the sick by the power of God. The church is an institution for workers and a frontline trench for the soldiers of God who make full use of the Gospel that has been placed in their possession as he or she goes about making disciples and winning souls for Christ. As stewards of the Gospel, we must have the conviction of Paul when he states, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation, to everyone that believeth.” We must equip ourselves with this Gospel and “…lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despairing the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1-2). Therefore, when we come to the end of our journey we will be able to say like the Apostle Paul “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day.” (II Timothy 4:7-8).
